Travelling by car

Preferred routes to Prague are Nurnberg-Plzen-Praha or Dresden-Chomutov-Praha or Linz-České Budejovice-Praha or Brno-Praha. All sorts of petrol are widely available. Gas is available at some places only. Price for one liter of petrol is 23-26 CZK, 19-22 Kc for diesel. Maximum speed is 130 km/h on divided highway, 90 km/h on other roads, 50 km/h in urban areas. Special label for 800 CZK is required at highways (sticked on the front window). Take in mind that any amount of alcohol detected at driver is subject of severe penalties. There is enough of free parking place at the conference venue.

Below instructions are also valid for hotels and dormitories - Masarykova kolej, Sinkuleho kolej and hotel Wienna (further bus necessary).

How to get to the conference site from the airport?

Taxi special buses can be hired at the airpors but there is a very simple and cheap way how to get to the conference site. Take a city bus no. 119 that stops just in front of the airport exit and go to the final station (Dejvicka). This near the metro station, very close to the conference site (see maps, e g. detailed map). Bus tickets - 12 CZK/ticket (approx. 0.5EUR)- can be bought at the bus station (yellow coin machine) or in the bus (from the bus driver). These transfer tickets, can be used 60 minutes from validation in all public transport in Prague. During nights and weekends such tickets can be used 90 minutes from validation. ). How to get to the conference site from the main railway station?

Take metro line C (red) in direction of Haje, change at the first station Muzeum to line A (green) and go to the terminus Dejvicka. This is right at the conference site (see maps, e g. detailed map). Information about the public transport here http://www.dpp.cz/cz/index.htm.

How to get to Krystal hotel?

From the conference site and from the station Dejvicka- buses Tram 20, 26 (map Dejvicka).

How to get to hotel Praha?

1. by underground to Dejvicka Metro Station (Line A) (the exit direction Evropska St.)
afterwards you can take a ten-minute walk,
or you can take a tram to Hadovka Stop,
furthermore you can use the hotel shuttle bus (a stop in Evropska St. outside Diplomat Hotel)

2. by metro to Hradcanska Metro Station (Line A)
(get off it the direction of "DP BUS Hanspaulka")

and then take a 131 bus and get off at Hanspaulka Stop
On your journey from the airport please call the hotel reception, which will promptly arrange a taxi for you.

How to get to hotel Zlata Praha?

From the conference site take bus 131 (from stop Na Santince) and go to stop Spitalka (3 stops).
From Dejvicka (the final stop of bus 119 if you come from airport, or metro A final station if you come from the railway station) take tram 20 or 26 go to stop Borislavka (3 stops) and then change to bus 131 and go to stop Spitalka (4 stops).
